Spantree, a boutique, Chicago-based, start-up software consultancy, engaged weetu to help them transition from a shared office space to one of its own. weetu assisted the team in defining its needs and identity into a concept that could grow and adapt with their business.

Spantree’s office is a loft-building with two separate open spaces connected by a public corridor. weetu designed a sculptural, room-dividing “tree” that provided visual definition and acted as a central lighting feature. This element set the tone for Spantree’s visual brand, along with large scale interior signage and textural materials. To develop this concept, weetu embraced Spantree’s preference for organic materials and forms and worked within the parameters of the start-up business’ budget and employees’ lifestyles.

weetu, in collaboration with Uusi,  also designed a custom conference table for Spantree made of reclaimed wood that easily separates into two separate freestanding tables for a seminar setting.
